A universal mag holder that has many uses. I've found this to be one of the little gems in my gear collection. Mostly because it can be used for so many different things. And over the 10 years that I've owned it, it has done just that. Mags both single and double, multitool, flashlight holder, you name it and it's probably carried it.

quick EDC update. My knife has changed back to a Benchmade Griptilian (review coming) I have a few new additions to my keys. The Leatherman Charge Ti (and TTi) remain my favorite medium duty multi-tools (see review www.youtube.com As it arrives from Leatherman, the Charge MT, in all its varieties, is adequately good looking but not special or impressive. Moreover, if a tactical multi-tool with low reflectivity or sheen is needed in your operations (and the black versions don't do it for you) then maybe a DuraCoated Leatherman should be your next project. Here I show and discuss the Leatherman "Charge Ti" that I transformed into a "Tactical Charge," wearing a carefully applied coat of Lauer Weaponry's "Tactical Desert Earth" (an ultra-flat variety) DuraCoat. For such a small MT it is a big project and one that most will not want to tackle; the work required is disproportionate to its size. There are many parts with many surfaces (don't lose them!), each needing preparation for coating (to ensure adherence; I used combination fine steel wool and 400 grit automotive sandpaper). Also takedown and reassembly are not exactly fast and simple. But with patience the end result is impressive and you'll have a one of a kind multi-tool. I have long thought of the Skeletool by Leatherman as an impractical, underpowered multi-tool that was more flare than function. However, after getting this tool in hand I have changed my opinion completely. What the Skeletool lacks in versatility, it more than makes up for in robust, specific usability. No plethora of functions here, but the tools it has are full-featured and tough. Added to a system with specific needs, or as a medium-large MT along-side a keychain one, I think the Skeletool will excel at tasks that may be a stretch for something from the Leatherman Juice line. In one form or another, this SWEET tool will be entering my collection very soon!

Often regarded as the best multi-tool in Leathermans lineup... In this video I go over the major differences between the Wave and a more budget priced multi-tool such as the Leatherman Wingman. Both are very similar in size, close in weight, but one is more then double the price. So what gives, is the Leatherman Wave really worth the price? With four different blade options it may very well be. Each blade has the ability to open and lock into place while the tool is closed. When opened up, there are several different tools including precision scissors and two different screwdriver bits (small and medium sized). On the flipside, the Wingman has a spring loaded handle for when you are working with the pliers. It also has an extra sturdy pocket clip for when you want to EDC it. The Wave comes with a high quality nylon sheath to attach to your belt loop. So which one is best for you? That really is a choice you are going to have to make yourself after the video. Another one of my all time favorite multi-tools. At 8.4 oz it's a heavier duty tool to handle a wider variety of tasks (but still falling within my category of Medium Duty MT). Stellar features include precise and strong pliers, perfectly shaped 154CM main blade that's easily accessed, large and small driver bit capability (some bits & holder included), good sheath, adequate scissors, wire strippers (I forgot to mention that), useful file, and a saw. Improvements might be all the same but at a lighter weight and including a sharp punch (like that on the Squirt). This Charge Ti had a limited run no it's no longer being made by Leatherman, replaced by the Charge TTi, AL, and ALX. Yes there are more and more great multi-tools out there. But this is an all-star favorite of mine.

This was a part of my EDC for about 7 months. Recently I have moved up to the Juice S2 due to it's increased capabilities. I especially like the scissors on the Juice S2. The Gerber Vise weighs in at 2.5oz and the Leatherman S2 Juice comes in at 4.4oz. The extra 2oz for the S2 Juice is well worth the extra weight in my EDC. This is a high value MT at the price point of $12 - 15 at Cheaper than Dirt or other online retailer.

Here is the small Leatherman S2 Juice Multi-Tool. This delivers many tools for a slightly high price. Priced under $50, it could be a tad easier on the wallet. Probably paying for that 25 year warranty. The scissors are really bad, and knife isn't that great, but I think sharpening will get the blade to be passable. Le test consiste à couper un câble en acier de 3 mm de diamètre. Ont été convoqués les multioutils suivants : - LEATHERMAN Charge XTi, - GERBER Suspension, - SOG PowerAssist, - VICTORINOX SwissTool. Le Gerber Suspension est incapable de couper le câble (coupe-câble non marqué). Le Leatherman Charge XTi présente une pince dont les mords se décalent d'une façon inquiétante et se bloquent fortement; il se montre incapable de couper le câble (coupe-câble non marqué). Le Victorinox SwissTool présente une pince dont les mords se décalent un peu mais ne se bloquent pas; il parvient à couper le câble (coupe-câble non marqué). Le SOG PowerAssist réussit correctement le test (coupe-câble marqué). Grosses déceptions donc s'agissant du Leatherman Charge et du Victorinox et agréable surprise concernant le SOG PowerAssist. Néanmoins, le coupe-câble de ce dernier se trouve marqué et une petite rectification à la lime s'impose suite à ce test limite qu'il convient de ne pas répéter. Le SOG PowerAssist doit sa puissance de coupe, donc de serrage, à la démultiplication amenée par les engrenages de la pince. Nota : j'ai eu un problème pour refermer le SOG à cause de son fichu capot à outils qui s'était désolidarisé de son manche. ATTENTION : voir ma vidéo intitulée "Leatherman vs Sog vs GERBER vs Victorinox : WIRE CUTTER TEST II". Une surprise vous attend :)
