Purpose of my EDC is to carry the tools I use every day in my 3 careers. 2. Want to do so carrying as little weight as possible, and to do so discretely. II. What I wear. A. Business attire most days. 1. EDC must work with that attire. 2. EDC must not overload my pockets or tear clothing. 3. It must also work with my leisure clothing. 4. It must support the principle of what I carry -- ie To be prepared 5. No pocket should have more than 1 or 2 small items item in it. III. What I carry A. Writing instruments 1. Black fine point Parker Jotter for clear, sharp copy 2. Blue broad point for signatures so you can tell an original from a Xerox. B. Hand lotion for dry climate. Substitute hand sanitizer sometimes. Left front pocket. C. Camera for journalism; also has removable chip for sending picks from a card reader that the phone does not have. Carried in belly band. 1. Coin purse -- secures change so that it does not rattle, carries earplugs which I use frequently, also a safety pin & paper clip, both of which see occasional use. Also holds a lighter, which although I don't smoke, comes in handy sometimes, as well as a small Leatherman tool. Right front pants pocket. 2. Leatherman CX carbon fiber multi tool. this is a review of the leatherman fuse multi tool. its a good economical choice for a Leatherman. the blade is made of 420HC steel. it also has scissors, a couple of flat head screwdrivers and a phillips head screwdriver. a couple of drawbacks would be, it can't be dissassembled due to the gooffy bolts they use and the second drawback is a lack of diversity in the tools. no saw, no awl, no file. it cost me about 25 USD at Bass Pro Shop.

Two spring loaded multitool made by rolson. I got the two for £10 and i find them worth the price. Will do most jobs out and about.The knives are fine and keep sharp if used correct.The hammer can pull a neil and drives them in great.I like the look of the tools not leatherman or gerber. PART 1 of 2 Here the the SOG Powerlock EOD Model B61 multi-tool (MT) goes up against my standard of measure for full-size MTs, the Leatherman Charge TTi. This one of course is my Cabelas special edition camo version. The Powerlock is the black oxide EOD version. In this 2-part series, Nutnfancy pits them against each other in terms of size, weight, ease of use, comfort, toughness, versatility and features, carry case, quality, and price. You guessed it: the Charge TTi (or the AL, ALX, Ti) wins in most but not all categories. The SOG Powerlock suffers from cumbersome handle covers, sympathetic and less elegant tool deployment, a ¼ driver with a finicky lock, a tiny chisel-ground pen knife blade, a less versatile and heavier sheath, and its 1.2 oz heavier. Thats not to say the SOG Powerlock is bad: it offers a lot of strength with its compound leverage cams, has faster deploying pliers, has good tool variety (including better scissors and a punch), can use ¼ sockets, and its a lot cheaper than the Leatherman Charge. But again the Charge just shines: take for instance its quick detachable and strong pocket clip that can truly turn it into an EDC (every day carry) pocket tool (albeit a 8.2 one!). At least as of now, its just hard to beat the speed, ease of use, excellent blades, outstanding sheath, weight efficiency, and bit versatility of the Leatherman Charge series and it again comes home as the champ in the comparison.
